Best time for a visit:

Seats in the tents are still available between early morning and afternoon (16.00 o’clock) and on sunday evening.
Then you will find a seat in most of the tents or beer gardens without reservation, especially at the small Oktoberfest tents, where you can enjoy top-offers like reduced meals and more.

Die biggest Oktoberfest fun: at the weekends and in the evenings. From 17.00 o’clock the streets ans the tents are filling.

Visiting the Oktoberfest with kids:

We recommend the two family-days mit reduced prices at the carousels, for entrances and at the stands.

Children in the beer tents:

Very important: from 20.00 o’clock are not allowed to visit the beer tents, with or without their parents.
Pushchairs are only allowed until 18.00 o’clock. But: because of the large crowd pushchairs are generelly forbidden at saturdays.

Holidays:

In Germany the 3rd october 2011 is a holiday (Day of German Reunification)

Wheater and clothing:

In Germany it’s autumn... Sometimes it’s still very warm and you can enjoy temperatures about 22° C in the beer gardens. But: it can be also very cool (5-15°C) and rainy. For the best, you check the wheater forecast or ask in your hotel. We recommend to take an umbrella and a windbreaker. Also if the sun is shining during the day you should take a warm jacket with you for the evening.

Red Cross:

On the Oktoberfest we have 3 red cross-stations. See our map.

All this you find at the „Behördenhof“ on the Oktoberfest at the end of the Matthias-Pschorr-Straße between the Bavaria and the tent „Käfer’s Wiesnschänke“. See our map.
