The Café-Dreh-Bar with the certain „turn“

The Oktoberfest – since 2006 this means not only beer, brezels, traditional cafés and carousels!

The concept is new, die outward appearance unusual: a turning carousel, where you can eat and drink, sit and stay and are slowly turning around. The open construction offers an open-air-feeling, because if the wheater is fine you’re sitting nearly outside.

If the outside temperature is low the sides will be closed with transparent blankets – but eh 360° panorama-view to the Oktoberfest remains. Then radiant heaters create a pleasant and warm flair.
The Gughupf-, coffee- and tea-variations are extraordinary, the longdrinks and schnapps various. The service is friendly and competent. That’s why the Guglhupf is a meeting point für families and also scenesters. For this, the location in the Schaustellerstraße / corner of the subway-station Theresienwiese is perfect.

The Guglhupf, five meters high and with the diameter of 5 meters larger-than-life, is built in a typical bowl-form, with a chimney in the middle. On 50 qm he offers for about 60 people culinary finenesses like the classic Rosinenguglhupf, but of course also the well-tried, with poppy, marble or nuts stuffed Guglhüpfer. Also Guglhupf-creations with egg liqueur, damson and zucchini-cinnamon, and the tasty variations with tomatoes/olives or salmon are on the menu. Of course, on the Oktoberfest the beer-Guglhupf is a must for everybody.

The whole day many is offered to the guests of the Guglhupf Café-Dreh-Bar, beginning with the breakfast in the morning, tasty dishes for lunch, different coffee-, tea- and chocolate-variations with Guglhupf-variations in the afternoon and finally in the evening a wide range of longdrinks and schnapps in the bar under the domed roof with his changing lights. A very special offer for all scenesters is the „Burschn-Edischn“ for men – new in this year with a beer-schnapps in al 4 cl bottle and a bavarian scarf. According to this of course the „Madl-Edischn“ for women with a quince-liqueur in a 4 cl bottle and a tabac-free snuff in a glass-bottle.

The innovative idea goes well as a meeting point for young and old and the concept of a family-friendly Oktoberfest! At the family-tuesdays we have „hits for kids“ on the menu: a mini-damson-Guglhupf with softdrink of free choice for only € 4,00.
